Launched in 1999, and produced at the Girvan distillery in Scotland by William Grant & Sons, Hendrick's Gin is an exceptional gin brand. It was invented by a Yorkshire native, Lesley Gracie, who was hired by William Grant & Sons to create the perfect gin. It took her about a decade to create the super-premium gin that we all know today, called Hendrick's Gin.

When it comes to the distillation process, this blend of spirits is made from Carter-Head Still, which was constructed in 1948 and there are only a couple left in the world. Hendrick's also uses a small pot still that was built by Bennett, Sons & Shears, in 1860. After they were bought at the auction in the 60s, by Charles Gordon who was the former William Grant Life President, both have been restored to work again. These two stills are known to produce completely different styles of gin because they are both made so differently and also use a different distillation process.

There are currently four different types of gin made at Hendrick's, but if you want to have a taste of the real deal, then you should check out the original Hendrick's Gin. This is a rather unusual gin, in the best ways, bottled in a simple yet recognizable bottle shape. It was created from 11 botanicals, with cucumber imbues and rose infusion, that makes the flavor of their spirits nicely balanced, smooth and special – as they like to describe it.

Hendrick's is something of a household name, so there is a high chance that you have already heard about this amazing Scottish gin. Upon opening the bottle, you will be welcomed with creamy aromas at first, followed by a little zest, rose petal jelly, juniper and cucumber. When you actually have your first sip of Hendrick's Gin, you will get fresh notes of cucumber with juniper, oak, and a bit of vanilla and citrus. The taste is incredibly savory and creamy, and at the end, you have a long and refreshing finish.
