If there was ever a brand of whiskey that the whole world has heard of, it is definitely Jack Daniel’s. This is a brand of Tennessee whiskey and is the world’s top-selling American whiskey. The founder of this brand was Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel, who was born in 1850, though his exact date of birth that year is unknown. He was the youngest of ten children, and after the death of his mother, his father remarried and had three more children.
Due to his difficult relationship with his stepmother after the passing of his father, he ran away and was taken in by Dan Call, who was a moonshine distiller. This is when Jasper Newton started to learn more about the distilling trade and process. Eventually, he started his own business, the Jack Daniel’s we all know today. Of course, there is a lot more to the history of how Jack Daniel’s came to be.
One of the signature single barrel offerings from the brand is the Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select. It is bottled in one of their typical single barrel bottles, with the iconic black label.
Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select is bottled at 94-proof, and while it might not be officially labeled as bourbon, it does meet the criteria for bourbon, just like most of Jack Daniel’s whiskeys.
After the distillation process, Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select goes through the Lincoln Country Process. It is allowed to drip for six days in ten-foot vats, which will pass through charcoal that is made by burning the maple wood that has been impregnated with Jack Daniel’s 140-proof whiskey, before it is finally put in a new charred oak barrel, and after for about 4 to 7 years.
As you open the bottle, you will get plenty of toasty oak hints, with notes of cereal and corn sweetness. There is also that good smoke note, with a bit of toffee and spices. It is pleasant on the nose, and the palate is even better. You get to taste the dried banana chips, toasted oak, and caramel almost immediately. Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select has a good length of finish, which offers a hint of citrus and a lot of cereal sweetness. It is best served neat, but you can serve it however you see fit!

Can I Track My Order?
When you have checked out and made the payment, you will receive a confirmation email. Subsequently, you will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been picked up by our delivery partner. When your order is en route, you will receive an additional text message and/or email.
Can I Reschedule Delivery or Cancel the Order?
This will depend on whether your order has already left our store. Cancellations and rescheduling are not guaranteed once your order is out for delivery, and you may be subject to a $20 fee to account for the cost of labor and transportation. If your order has not been shipped yet, simply get in touch with us to cancel or to schedule a new delivery time.
I Have Special Delivery Instructions – Where Do I Add Them?
On the checkout page, there will be a comments box you can fill in, which will be visible both to our team and the delivery driver. If you have opted to add gift wrapping and/or a greeting card as part of your order, please leave your message in this box. If you have any special requests for wrapping, such as using a birthday wrapper, let us know here too!
How Do I Make Sure No Receipt Details Are Included in My Gift Order?
If you placed your order as a gift in our system (by adding on gift wrapping), we will automatically leave out the pricing details in the shipment. Please leave us a message in the comments box if you have not opted to add on gift wrapping but are sending your order as a gift.
Who Can Purchase and Receive Orders?
In the United States, you need to be of at least 21 years old in order to place an order and receive your parcel. Even if they are not the intended recipient, an individual below 21 cannot sign for parcels containing alcohol, so make sure that an adult will be around during your selected delivery time.
Can My Liquor Be Delivered Chilled?
Where this is possible, we will strive to deliver your liquors chilled. However, in some cases such as where there are insufficient refrigeration facilities, it may not be possible.
