How to Drink Like a Celebrity
So you want to drink and live like a celebrity?! Well who doesn’t and why we may not know exactly what goes on with the rich and famous from day to day we can still drink and create fancy and luxurious cocktails while putting your mixology skills to the test. Being that Covid is still taking a toll on many, we should all make cocktails at our homes and if you have plenty of free time, you can practice and refine your skills. Below are a few fancy cocktails to make and enjoy. Pinkies up if you prefer!
Gin Fizz
Frothy and creamy, this delicious cocktail includes an egg white and heavy cream. You will also need GIN, lemon juice (freshly squeezed), ¾ OZ of simple syrup, and club soda for a topper. Add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker and dry shake (shake without ice) for around 15-20 seconds. Then add 3-4 ice cubes and shake vigorously. Double strain into a glass and enjoy.
One for the Money
We found that this cocktail screams fancy pants and we had to share it with you! With a name like One for the Money, you can expect to get excited about this combination of amazing flavor and beautiful design. Ingredients include lemon juice, freshly squeezed, prosecco, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, 1 oz Coochie Americano, ¼ cup Everclear, saffron threads, and ice. Shake ingredients and fine strain into thin glass. Tada!
Verano
You don’t want to wait for all the way until the summer to enjoy this cocktail. The ingredients include Casa Migos tequila, Aperol, 3 sprigs tarragon, 1 red grapefruit (freshly squeezed), and simple syrup. To make this fancy cocktail, muddle 2 tarragon sprigs and grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker. Add tequila, Aperol, simple syrup, and ice. Shake it up and pour it into a glass and use the third tarragon sprig for a garnish. Yum yum!
Vesper
The Vesper Martini is fancy, fresh, and delicious. Ingredients include 3 oz gin, 1 oz vodka, ½ oz Lillet blanc aperitif, and a lemon twist for a garnish. Add the gin, vodka, and Lillet blanc into a glass with ice and stir until well chilled. Then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Push the juices and fragrance of the lemon twist over the drink and rub it over the rim of the glass before dropping it into the glass.
